The Department of Zoology, Jengraimukh College was established in the year of 2020 with full time faculty members and a laboratory bearer. The motto of the department is to prepare and tune the undergraduate students with the updated knowledge of different branches of Zoological field with following the CBCS syllabus provided by Dibrugarh University for today’s contemporary competitive environments. Furthermore, the interactions with the students as well as with parents, regular evaluation and its critical analysis of the teaching learning activities are other prime objectives of the department. The department is equipped with sufficient numbers of laboratories and classroom for B.Sc. students. The aim of the department is to set up a well-established research laboratory. The department also focuses on organizing various Seminars, Symposium, Workshops and Awareness Programme in order to attract and educated the students as well as the local people.
OBJECTIVES: The department of Zoology is fully dedicated to the advancement of knowledge, learning and understanding to the service of society and environment.
LEARNING RESOURCES: The department of Zoology bears a good eco-friendly study environment for students with its various resources, such as:
- Well-equipped laboratory.
- Well-equipped instruments for modern practical.
- Departmental Library and LCD Projector.
- A well numbers of Fresh Water, Salt Water and Terrestrial Specimens.
- Numbers of Computer for dry lab practical.
