The Department of Physics, Jengraimukh College was established in the year of 2020 with three full time faculty members and one laboratory assistant. The prime objective of the department is to prepare and tune the undergraduate students with the updated knowledge of Physics following thoroughly the syllabus provided by Dibrugarh university for today’s contemporary competitive environment in view of the needs the state in particular and the nation in general. Frequent interactions with the students, regular evaluation and its critical analysis of the teaching learning activities are other prime objectives of the department. The department aims to sign MoU with various Educational Institutes and Industry with ample objectives in order to achieve the excellence in pursuit of knowledge in Physics as well as to excel the overall career of the students in Physics. The department is equipped with sufficient numbers of laboratories for B.Sc. students and aims to set up a sophisticated research laboratory as well. The department also focuses on organizing various various workshops, seminars and awareness camps in order to attract and nurture the students towards the field of science.

Facilities ::

The department has three well established laboratories for both Honors and Generic students. Every measures have been taken to provide all the necessary equipments. Some of the major equipments in the Department are Dual trace Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Angstrom Apparatus, Calender and Griffith Apparatus, Searles Appartus, Hot air oven, Travelling Microscope etc. The department is also equipped with a computer laboratory with four sophisticated desktop computers and an LCD projector.
