The Women’s Cell of Jengraimukh college was formed in the year 2006. The first president of the cell was Mrs. Bhanu Nath, and Mrs. Chaya Dutta was the Secretary. The main vision of the cell is to strengthen the status of women employees and facilitate a congenial environment. All female employees of the college are members of women’s cell and the cell makes every attempt to facilitate a cordial and equal relationship in the working environment of the college. The purpose of the cell is to spreading awareness among the students about the social, legal and constitutional rights of women in order to prevent exploitation based on gender. The cell also tries to develop positive self-esteem and confidence in the female students so that they can take the right decision for their lives. In case of any concern or problem faced by the female students, they can openly address the members of the women’s cell for guidance and help.
