B.Sc. courses in Jengraimukh College comprising five science departments were introduced by Government of Assam in the year 2020. As an integral part of basic sciences, undergraduate honours course (CBCS) in Chemistry was started in the year 2020. This course is conducted by Dibrugarh University and course contents are divided into six semesters. The Department of Chemistry of Jengraimukh College aims to administer the prescribed syllabus with academic flexibility. Department enrols students through transparent entrance test. Ongoing three-year B.Sc. course covers fourteen compulsory core papers and four optional Discipline Specific Elective (DSE) papers. In each semester students learning outcome are evaluated through two sessional exams, group discussions, seminars, assignments following an end-semester exam. For smooth functionality of the department well equipped laboratory and department library facilities are provided.
In addition, a six-month add-on-course approved by the Dibrugarh University on applied chemistry is conducted by the Chemistry department and provides diploma at the end of the course.
